New Things....

Just wanted to post an update and let everyone know what is happening here at Girl Lost In a Book. Today I decided to purchase a domain name from Blogger and apparently the blog is 'in transition' (according to blogger). So this blog went from being located to http://girllostinabook.blogspot.com to www.girllostinabook.com.

Blogger posted this message on my home page and I wanted to share it with you:

'Your new address should work for everyone after at most 3 days. At that time we will redirect your readers from your old address to the new one.'
Please bear with me as we go through this time of transition on this blog. I am not sure what to expect or what you can expect when the transition actually goes through, as I am new to this as well. It is my hope that nothing major will change over and everything will be all good, but sometimes technology has a mind of its own.

Also Girl Lost In a Book now has a facebook page, so you can follow along there as well. Please go and like the page here and support this blog!! Please let me know what you think about these changes as they are an effort to make this blog more accessible to readers everywhere. I apologize in advance for any technical problems. Thanks!!

  1. Hi Kimberlee... I did the transition (twice) from Blogger, and it was easy peasy and no big deal. As long as you set everything to redirect, you'll be fine. Just don't let your credit card expire .. mine did, and I didn't pay attention to the one teeny email, and so the first domain was lost forever. Now THAT was a pain, because that domain doesn't redirect.
Blogspot will. Also, the Word Verification is very unneccessary... you can delete spam comments, but for now I would suggest trying to turn the word verification off. (I haven't needed it for a few years).

    1. Thanks for all your advice. I am new to this and at times it can see overwhelming with all the codes and shortcuts etc!!
