In My Mailbox (Nov. 26)

In My Mailbox is a cute meme hosted by The Story Siren and I absolutely adore it.

Received from Edelweiss for Review:

1. The Real Jane Austen: A Life in Small Things--Paula Byrne

Received from Netgalley for Review:

1. The Revenge of Moriarty--John Gardner (Professor Moriarty #2)

Bought (for Kindle):

1. The Return of Moriarty--John Gardner (Professor Moriarty #1)
2. She Wore Only White--Dorthe Binkert

Because I received the second book in the Professor Moriarty series for review, I felt that I had to buy the first one in the series because I am anal about reading series in order. Can't wait to read these as I love Sherlock Holmes and I love to read other authors' takes on the famous detective and Watson.

Kindle Freebies:

1. Cruel Music--Beverle Graves Myers (Tito Amato Mystery #3)

From the Library:

1. Death in the Floating City--Tasha Alexander (Emily Ashton Mystery #7)
2. Venom--Fiona Paul (Secrets of the Eternal Rose #1)
3. The Walnut Tree--Charles Todd

I absolutely cannot wait to read all of these books. What do you guys think about my haul this week? Did I get something that catches your eye? What did you get this week?

    1. I can't wait to read it either. It's one of my favorite historical mysteries. I hope it's as good as everyone says or I will be seriously disappointed.

    1. I haven't read any of Charles Todd before. I am hoping this one is good because I really want to get into his two historical mystery series. Do you know anything about them?

  4. Great mailbox Kimberlee. I'm reading The Walnut Tree right now. I loved Charles Todd's Bess Crawford series so this one is right up my alley.

    Enjoy all your new reads.

  6. I'd buy the Moriarty books just because of the covers, they promise such exciting adventures. Hope they're good! I checked out 2 books from the library this week: Ignore Everybody by Hugh MacLeod and Quiet by Susan Cain. Usually I wouldn't go for 2 non-fiction titles at the same time but they became available days within each other and I didn't dare lose my place in queue.

    1. Apparently they are re-releases of the same books which were published, I think, in the 1950's. I have them coming up soon and hope you'll come back to see how I feel about them. I love Sherlock Holmes and Watson.

I normally don't read a lot of non-fiction either, but if it looks good, I'll pick it up. And you mustn't lose your spot in the queue. That is unthinkable. I am the same way about library books. All my family thinks I'm weird, but I don't care.
